Doing Better Work Together Resource Hub

Doing Better Work Together was an online learning event and pop-up digital village to inspire new ways of working together in distributed organizations. Created by Enspiral, DBWT saw over 30 sessions delivered across all timezones over 5 days.

The Goal

The Doing Better Work Together Knowledge Hub was created to solve a simple but often-overlooked challenge: how do we keep the ideas from a conference alive once the microphones are off?

Working closely with the event team, I designed and curated a lightweight, low-cost digital space—built in Notion—that could hold, organize, and make sense of a wide range of content: recordings, articles, frameworks, references, and session materials.

But it wasn’t just a place to store files.

It was a space built for browsing, finding, wandering, and revisiting. A place where people could stumble across something new—or return to something they missed. I wanted it to feel more like a curated library than a drive folder. More like a living archive than a static resource dump.

Constraints That Sparked Good Design

We knew from the start that budget and time were tight. That ruled out slick platforms and custom builds—but that didn’t mean we had to sacrifice care or creativity.

By working within Notion’s structure, I built a modular, scalable system for organizing a large amount of multimedia content. I grouped and tagged resources for clarity, and layered in enough visual design and context to make exploration feel intuitive and even a little bit delightful.

This was as much about designing for serendipity as it was about making things accessible.

What It Became

The Knowledge Hub became a quiet backbone to the event—something people could use before, during, and long after the sessions ended. It helped participants dive deeper, revisit conversations, and stay in conversation with the ideas sparked at the conference.

For a small tool, it did a lot of heavy lifting.
