Foresight Assisted Design (FAD) - A Framework for Action

What It Is:

A futures-informed design methodology I developed combining strategic foresight, systems thinking, and iterative innovation.

How It’s Used:

By public institutions, civil society, and international organizations to think differently and act decisively in uncertainty.

Outcome:

Deployed in UN projects, innovation labs, and international workshops. Now a certifiable product at InsightPact.

Designing the Future of the Semiconductor Workforce

Client/Partner:

Arizona State University | U.S. Department of State

What We Did:

Used design thinking + strategic foresight to co-create workforce development initiatives for local semiconductor ecosystems.

Outcome:

Over 100 ideas generated; 16 moved into further development and implementation across both countries.

Doing Better Work Together – Knowledge Commons Design

Client/Partner:

Enspiral

What We Did:

Designed a global asynchronous digital library and learning space for a 5-day global working methods conference.

Outcome:

Built an open-access resource hub using Notion, featuring community-curated content and a living library.

Exploring the Futures of International Development

Client/Partner:

Thammasat University

What We Did:

Conducted a participatory workshop and lecture with International Development Graduate and Undergraduate students.

Outcome:

Engaged students in futures thinking to explore and understand potential developments in international contexts.

Futures Thinking in Asia and the Pacific: Why Foresight Matters for Policy Makers

Client/Partner:

Asian Development Bank (ADB)

What We Did:

Conducted research, graphic design, and copywriting that contributed to a handbook that uses futures thinking to identify entry points for transformational change and finance the future of Asia and the Pacific.

Outcome:

Provided policymakers with tools and insights to support strategic planning and sustainable development.

Collaborating for Impact: Navigating Partnerships across the SDGs

Client/Partner:

American Chemical Society and Co-Authors

What We Did:

Co-Authored a peer-reviewed article illustrating the importance of early career perspectives and diverse partnerships in developing solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Outcome:

Published in the ACS journal on Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, contributing to the discourse on sustainable development collaborations.
